Do you find yourself regularly
downloading email attachments and then uploading the files to the database? Or maybe you log into a website every
morning, finding the daily numbers and then saving them into another system? Well, Power Automate can
help you complete tasks and processes like these more efficiently. Ultimately driving business value. Let's explore the value Power Automate
brings to you some more. Power Automate enables you to include
powerful workflow automation seen in the example, directly in your apps. When building these apps,
access to your data is very important. That's why Power Automate
offers you choices. In fact, you can easily connect to
data and services across the web and even on premises by accessing over two
hundred and seventy five connectors. Some common data sources
include Microsoft data verse, Salesforce Dynamics 365,
Google Drive and Office 365. Plus you don't have to choose
just one data source either. Microsoft power platform easily
supports multiple data connections, allowing you to bring data together from
many platforms into a single automation. And if your data isn't retrievable
by one of the 275 plus connectors, then Power Automate also allows
you to create custom connectors. This lets you talk to any data
source via a swagger file. You can even add
artificial intelligence or AI to your flow without writing any
code as you learned previously. To take advantage of these AI capabilities
you must first build a model. Power platform provides a wizard
that guides you through building and training the model. This unlocks the power of Azure machine
learning and cognitive services, no code writing needed. Currently there are four AI models
available to you in power apps. Foreign processor, object detector,
tax classification and prediction. Let's revise what each of them can do for
you. The form processor extracts text from
an image like the business card reader. By contrast the object
detector identifies and counts objects from an uploaded image or
taken photo. The text classification model
categorizes text by its meaning, making it easier to analyze. Lastly as you may remember, the prediction
model is trained to predict a yes or no outcome based on historical data. Once that's done, you can actually
interact with the model in your flow to send and
receive information from the AI system. This unlocks business value previously
out of grasp without complex code. Power Automate also takes care
of security and administration. To manage security for power automate,
log into the power platform admin center, the link will be available in this
lessons additional resources. From the admin center you have full
access to power automate tenant wide. You can create and manage environments. Implement data loss prevention policies. Work with data integrations and
manage user licenses and quotas. The admin center gives you management
capabilities across Power Automate. Power Automate also offers a full
set of power shell command. These commandments allow
you deeper controls and to work better in large scale scenarios. Using the command lets for
auditing gives you more control and insight on power automates
usage throughout your tenant. Additionally, because Power Automate is
all about automation there are built in flow actions from managing both
Power Automate and power apps. An example of a helpful flow you could
create is one that runs every day at eight AM to discover all the flows and
power apps that have been created. The flow can then add someone
from IT as a co owner of each. That way IT has access and awareness of
the solutions within the organization. This is just another way that Power
Automate is helping to automate common business processes. Even more exciting is that with power
automate you can specify the business logic to determine the necessary
conditions that trigger a flow. For many businesses that means these
automation is do not have to be driven from IT. But instead directly from the business. For example,
the same way that the sales department builds its manual processes today by
emailing spreadsheets between people. They can build their flow to
automate the process going forward. If you are an IT, or
otherwise responsible for governance, power automate also has
plenty to offer for you. With power automate,
there are many security, governance and reporting capabilities to
provide the necessary oversight. You can even write a flow to
manage all of the other flows. Also, Power Automate doesn't
circumvent security in any way. Users cannot build flows to do things they
don't already have permission to do today. Now you know some of the ways
Power Automate can bring value to you. Keep going to see what this looks like in
action with Power Automate adding value to True Green by helping them
run their business better.
